Section 4-50 Limited permit to sell liquor by the drink, who may obtain; time limited.

Notwithstanding the other provisions of this chapter, a permit for the sale of intoxicating liquor for consumption on premises where sold, may be issued to any church, school, civic, service, fraternal, veteran, political or charitable club or organization for the sale of such intoxicating liquor at a picnic, bazaar, fair, or similar gathering. Said permit shall be issued only for the day or days named therein and it shall not authorize the sale of aforesaid intoxicating liquor for more than seven (7) days by any said organization as described above in any fiscal year. For each such permit issued, the licensee shall pay to the city the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00). No provision of law or rule or regulation of the city shall prevent any wholesaler or distributor from providing customary storage, cooling or dispensing equipment for use by the holder of the license at such picnic, bazaar, fair, or similar gathering.

If you have the ability to purchase your own liquor for the bar...that’s great news because you can save lots of money! However, deciding what to buy and how much can be confusing. Here are some general guidelines for a suggested amount of alcohol based upon 100 guests:

Beer - Total 9 Cases, Domestic 3 cases, Imported 3 cases, Lite 3 cases, Wine - Total 5-8 Cases, Chardonnay 3-4 Cases, White Zinfandel 1-2 Cases, Cabernet Sauvignon 1-2 Cases, Champagne...
1-2 Cases Hard liquor.... Vodka 5 liters, Gin 3 liters, Rum 2 liters, scotch 2 liters, Bourbon 2 liters, Vermouth 750ml
Kahlua 3 liters, Others to Consider: (l liter of each), Bailey’s Irish Cream, Grand Marnier, Amaretto, Sambuca, Brandy, Frangelico, Chambord

These makers produce champagne that is characteristic of the individual villages that form the Champagne appellation of France. If you would like to buy champagne that stands out from the rest, try our selection. Our champagne ranges from $16 to $23 per bottle, with a minimum order of six bottles. That price includes free delivery within mainland , and you can 'mix and match' to select your own case. Most orders are shipped on the day they are placed. We accept cheques and all major credit cards, via our secure server or by fax or phone. For a very limited time, we're giving away two half-bottles of champagne with every case ordered. Just place your order, and we'll add them to your delivery. Orders for 24 bottles or more receive a 5% discount. Please pick any bottles from our range of champagne to create your own case, or you could choose one of our special mixed cases. These are available for less than the normal total, so they are ideal for your first order. For more details, check out our price list. Most of our champagnes are premier cru or grand cru.
